#084: Drug Legalization 1

More Americans have died from tobacco and alcohol than they have from marijuana, and yet Americans can freely buy a pack of smokes and a bottle of booze, but they can't grow pot in their backyard without being thrown in jail for life.

Let's not kid ourselves: the "War on Drugs" has not been for the sake of our health. If it were, both tobacco and alcohol would be at the forefront, yet both are perfectly legal because they create big profits for big businesses. (Not that that's a bad thing, mind you!)

Then again, considering how profitable recreational marijuana has proven in Colorado, it's only a matter of time until pot become legal nationwide, if for no other reason than to allow corporations another way to make more money. (Again, not that that's a bad thing, mind you!)
